Roughly 14 million American adults are now on a GLP-1 receptor agonist — semaglutide, tirzepatide, or one of the next-generation oral formulations that began reaching the market in 2025. The pharmacological story has been told extensively. The retail-basket story has not.

We Live Organic obtained two years of de-identified basket-level data from three premium grocery retailers, segmented by loyalty-card holders who self-disclosed GLP-1 prescriptions to the retailers' wellness programs. The aggregated cohort covers roughly 340,000 households across 2024 and 2025. The patterns are striking, and they are not what the food industry war-gamed.
